Deke Hazirjian founded New York City Lites in 1983 after a 3 year stint
at
ABC where he directed the lighting for a variety of shows including Good
Morning America, 20-20, Kids are People Too, and Ryan’s Hope. As
cable
television production took root in New York City in the 80's and 90's,
Deke
built New York City Lites and also his reputation for excellence in
television lighting design and production. Mr. Hazirjian won the Emmy Award in 1997 for best lighting direction
on
PBS’s Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego, and has received several
more Emmy
nominations for his designs . Deke’s work can be seen daily on
almost any
channel on television. One or more of his shows air regularly on ABC,
NBC,
CBS, PBS, HBO and ESPN. His critically successful Who Wants To Be A
Millionaire is currently in syndication.
Now in its 20th year, New York City Lites is one of the oldest and most
respected television lighting design firms in New York.
